Raja's version of the logo was ok, but the semiologic guy really brought it to life. I mean, who knew that such a humble and unassuming little logo could be turned into something so magical in the hands of the right designer!? He's brilliant!
As far as I'm concerned raja should just pack up his mouse and call it a day...in fact, we all should.

the guy at semi logic is a bit rude. Emailed him a very short not rude at all email saying he should remove the stolen logo and he writes back:
"Who says this guy didn't steal it from me?? I basically comes down to put up or shut up. I notice this guy isn't forthcoming in providing any evidence on the forum that the design is indeed his! And if it was stolen, and I was in his shoes, I would be there showing everyone my proof. This matter is closed. When you have evidence to back your baseless allegation, then you can reopen this ticket. I have placed this matter in the hands of our lawyers for their consideration."

He's changed the logo now anyway.

You can remind his "lawyers" of the fact that their client has stolen logos from several other people on the Pond and has posted them on his site and claimed them as his own - which doesn't bode well for his argument of "baseless allegations".

I have removed the logo. I also responded to a Glen Hobbs, who wrote....
Who could I speak with regarding your website and logo design?
You¹re semiologic logo was stolen from a designer as you will see here in
this link. Please notice the date of original posting:

We will be needing to hear from you as we discern whether liability lies
with Semilogic or with your graphic design vendor. Either way a cease and
desist is necessary.

Hi Glen,
Thank you for your email.
This design was done by a designer in India (http://www.minerskinz.com).
I took it that the design was his original work. I have added a screenshot of the private area where we discussed the logo (notice the attached thumbnail at the bottom of the screenshot?). You can log into that area now by following this url> http://www.minerskinz.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2082&page=3. The login details are:

You can gather the evidence you need once logged in. When you are finished, I would appreciate if tell me, because I am going to confront the guy over all this and demand my money back, plus report him to PayPal. This guys real name is Satish. I have also included my PayPal screenshot of my payment to this guy.
The logo on semiologic.com has been removed.
This type of thing sickens me and will take all the necessary actions to co-operate with all concerned. I also have tickets responses from that forum, which I will provide to you if necessary.
Please let me know when you are finished in the backend of his site, and if there is anything else I can do to assist in this unfortunate matter.

Again, you have made a rather general statement about stolen logos, but conveniently provide no reference except "...has stolen several other people on the Pond and has posted them on his site and claimed them as his own..." Really?? Tell me which ones you are referring to?
Sorry that happen to you Darrell. Logopond has a large following and the collective watchdog that it forms has helped out with similar issues. Good luck with future projects.
And thanks Glen, and Jessica for going the extra mile!
I can't believe how old these logos are. The date submitted here is not the date the logo was created. I think this was one is more than 5 years old!
I have a load of new work which I am planning for inclusion for my book coming late 2011 - mid 2012 ( depending on publisher). So I want to keep it away from the public eye and not load it up here. Need to be controversy free.
This Tandoori chicken is soooo goooood! Typing with one hand lol
Hi, Can I use this logo as my own and earn money for not doing any creative work at all? Word has it you're cool with that. ;-) see my new site: www.ripofraja.com
