simple and clean, but not sure if it sends the right message. comes across to me as something sinking. maybe if you placed the type under the icon it wouldn't appear as such?

Thanks Bitencourt. However, you missed out on earlier information (accidentally deleted my logo and the comments were erased) that my logo looks like a couple logos on logopond. Dangit. So I'm taking everything in before I begin a new concept.

^Not so hot and thanks for checking in. LoL. I've been putting in a ton of hours at work and it isn't slowing down until the first week of December. I haven't had time to brainstorm at all...usually when I leave work I'm brain-dead. BUT it's the first thing on my to-do list. :)

I remember when the game Football manager had a competition for a logo for the game YEARS ago...my entry was identical to your design, since then, I have seen it all over the place, it was probably done well before I did it as well, you just notice it afterward...like when you buy a new car, you notice the same model everywhere lol
