I thought the pepper was a set of stairs. So I figured it's so hot it kills you and you take the chili pepper stairs to heaven. Now that I know it's an M, I still see it as a set of stairs. And I kind of like the stairs idea, it supports the idea of "deathly" hot in a very personal way! If that's a happy accident, so be it.

Also, I also dig the style and the type.

I'm thinking you can lose the drop shadow and rotate the chili by about 45 degrees clockwise. Have you tried that yet?
