Nice. The question arises in my mind though... why are there some "lights out"? Is the janitor sloppy? Do we not cover the whole globe? Did someone vandalize the logo? I like the look, and agree that the globe looks cooler with some missing dots, but I think the subconcious questions work against the logo.

Don't have a problem with the missing dots. However, it reminds me of a disco ball and I'm thinking more entertainment/dance club logo...

I think that you should use the missing dots to form the continents, and I think that would give your logo more relevance.

But, very nice concept, I like it.

Looks nice, although it reminds me immediately 'Cable & Wireless' (http://lacnic.net/imagenes/logos/cable-wireless.jpg) which is a very known brand.
