i think i like this better than the white one, but it also poses the problem of what to do in print: surround the logo by black? i don't know that i would like it as much on black if the color became a "border," rather than a "background." so, in that case, maybe white wins?

By the way: would you ever consider adding more 'bee' elements? Wings, legs, antennae? :) Works well as-is, but would perhaps add another layer of interest.
