is there any particular reason the end-tips of the aloe [lines] aren't cleanly shorn off? Why the extra bit of line at the end?

lundeja said on Aug. 05 '09

My idealistic viewpoint is that if I were to keep perfect pointed tips, I lose some uniqueness to the design and end up with 3 perfect leaves. It's also my viewpoint that nothing in nature is perfect, so I was experimenting with keeping this clean and professional while maintaining some unbalance and natural movement.

I *love* that you ask questions like this by the way :)

Hope that's a 'genuine' answer...and not a bullshite answer, you bullshiterz-er.... :)

[And for those of you who don't know, I'm referring to a project he's doing. Should be in his portfolio.]

Btw: thanks for letting me know. I know that in the 'real world' aloes have somewhat of an uneven tip. Guessing that's what you're thinking of here.

Nah I wouldn't bullshit you on here. I'll save that for the blog haha.

When I export from AI without setting web widths/heights it comes out like that sometimes and I didn't use a transparent png. Fixed it now.

Also, this logo was approved this afternoon :)

Nice, there's a line on the top now.

Pretty nice result. I like the way you finished the leaves in an imperfect perfection.
