the colors seem of, but the concept of the butterfly and ear is very nice. My only question is why is the word music a tagline. Is flyby the name and if so why does it need music? Or should it be 'fly by music'

I had designed this one a long time ago. You bring up a good point about the hierarchy in terms of the name and the word music. Music is not intended as a tag but a part of the logo though. I guess it doesn't come across that way. Anyway, the client chose something else. I plan to redo this for my portfolio some day. Appreciate your feedback David.

I would agree with David and add that the font overall is not flowing with the mark. Maybe if you brought music up with fly by and made it all one line it work better.
