Maybe if you made the pencil more mechanical. For some reason I'm reminded of school...not an automotive consultant company. other than that, i think the idea is great and well implemented. Fonts don't work either. they should match the logo's fonts. Just some ideas.

It is a font from Ryan Ford's collection.

Fonce Sans Pro. I think he is a member on here.

Looks cool. Yeah, Ryan Ford has some great type work; I recognized Fonce from the preview image. Nice execution here.
