I know, it kind of saddens me. What's the client going to think we he/she knows the idea was taken from another logo? It's really starting to get under my skin, so many new logo designers are adapting existing concepts for their own work.

^ You are right. He contacted me on Brandstack saying he was unaware of the existing concept. I offered him some advice to perhaps redesign the logo to have some more uniqueness to it and stand apart from this logo. This will benefit both the designer and his client. Hopefully he takes the advice.

And to add to that, yours is so much better. His line weight and graph are lacking. Your color scheme and art to type proportions are perfect.
