My eye cant stay away from the heavy weight (black) to the top left. The direction of the logo makes me leave the design.
It would require a bit of work, but if perhaps you could induce a more aggressive perspective on him and twist him twoards the viewer, i feel that it would solve some of the weighting issues and make a more interresting, stable and dynamic design.
The cone would open up, which would knock out some of the black. and the direction would help keep the eye on the center of the logo (where it should be).
There are some great forced perspective designs on iso50.com particularly the 2nd flood light logo as well as the man swinging the hammer.
Check it out, you have a good design just keep working at it a little and i think youll have a great design.
I agree with Suckafish about his suggestions on changing the perspective of the character.
I do want to note that the logo is terrific though. The simplicity, but attention to detail are excellent. Definitely something that is missing most of the time.
Thanks for the feedback but alas it is all in vain. This logo was done in 2002(?) for a theater group that is now defunct (God I hope it wasn't my logo that killed them) so I'll have to keep your comments in mind for the next time around.

Thanks for noticing that. I've been refining that technique for several years. I'm glad someone finally noticed. :-)
