lalohead said on Sep. 24 '09

ahahaha i don't know waht to say! i´m truly sorprised!. Thank you! (:

logoboom said on Sep. 24 '09

yeah... tasty. can i ask why the dark line coming down off of the bean breaks the first white concentric line?

OcularInk said on Sep. 24 '09

^ Was wondering if anyone else noticed that. I'm curious too. Very nice though.

lalohead said on Sep. 24 '09

it´s because the center (leafcoffee) is not completely rounded, the two concentric lines in fact don´t touch each other, but at this size it causes that optical artifact. Cheers!

logomotive said on Sep. 24 '09

lalohead, I think they are referring to the top lines (bottom 3). and not the actual bean. My eye instantly goes there?

logomotive said on Sep. 24 '09

Or a better way to put it is why don't they touch?

lalohead said on Sep. 24 '09

oouuuhhh!! ignore my previous comment trying to explain something that has nothing to do with what you are asking hahaha :B

that line is the tail of the leaf

cseven said on Sep. 24 '09

The mark is great.

logoboom said on Sep. 24 '09

Gotcha. Maybe it doesn't need the tail of the leaf.

Brandsimplicity said on Sep. 24 '09

Very nice, it caught my eye:)

dbunk said on Sep. 24 '09

JohnM said on Sep. 25 '09

Por que invernadero a una cafeteria??
buen trabajo!

milou said on Sep. 27 '09

clear.

OcularInk said on Sep. 27 '09

I'd say lose the tail of the leaf as it is more distracting than helpful.

serhos said on Sep. 28 '09

Realy love this work, it`s so harmonious and tasty!

logomotive said on Sep. 28 '09

You fixed it!!! Looked great, now it is perfect.

hahahaha thank you guys! (=

matthewcarleton said on Sep. 29 '09

I have to say I agree with octopusthebeginner's comment and say this does slightly resemble a bum.

ethereal said on Sep. 29 '09

Nice job, I like it a lot!

logomotive said on Oct. 02 '09

If you guys think this looks like a bum you better go see your proctologist.

lalohead said on Oct. 02 '09

hahahaha! here in mexico exist a popular proverb that says "el que hambre tiene, en pan piensa" something like "the one that has hunger, in bread he think" (if you are always thinking in bums you will see them everywhere). i hope it makes sense for you guys, it's hard to translate.

Cheers!

Snorgledork said on Oct. 15 '09

I'm not a big fan of this one. It looks nice, but I don't know what the thing in the middle is... and I agree with the other people who said this resembles a buttocks.

dhalarewich said on Oct. 15 '09

Yah, sort of looks like a butt to me. But it still looks nice. Tweaking the bean dimples would fix it.

elmundodefer said on Apr. 02 '10

At first i thought you did it on purpose (though i couldn't understand why). But then you said that's not the case. Sorry. it does seem like an ass. Even if only "bread hungry" people see it. In a brand mark no one should see such thing (if it wasn't meant to be seen). And i think that blaming on a artifact is not an excuse. In fact, is something to solve!
But don't get me wrong. Other aspects of this mark are great! Hope you consider constructive critics. Cheers!

lalohead said on Jun. 11 '10

hi guys, yeah i see your point, even when this logo is not in use, i will make that tweak, cheers!
