wow. You guys call yourself designers? So you're telling me that hmmm if a company wanted a logo that was for hmm lets just say Gay Pride Parade or something along those lines you would say no? You should be able to design in any medium and any content if its gay or what ever. This site seems more and more like a bunch of LITTLE KIDS that are either still in school or just got out and thinking they are something special and KIDS making comments about the nature of a company to me is BULLSHIT! It doesn't matter to me as long as they can pay my Branding rate (which btw is pretty steep)
Regarding this logo. I think it works. Nice way to show two numbers and make it interesting.

I want to apologize for my above comment. I was out of line. All in all, this logo is well designed. In reference to my hurricane comment above, the logo actually makes for an interesting metaphor. Meaning, a dance club conveys that sense of movement and motion of a hurricane. Was that your intention?
Seriously, about the logo... i love the relationship between the shape of the '6' and the '9', i love how you've made them work together. However, im not too thrilled about the placement of the word 'club' i think it gets lost in there and should be placed larger to the left of the symbol.
If the logo is for printing u probably will have problems with the "club" in small sizes. So my suggestion is or u have some variant for small prints or u change this original logo. My vote goes for change this one i would like to see the "69" working only by it self. :P
It's rather depressing to realize there is such ignorance floating about, even in the design community. Especially to the point where one would feel the need to post such ignorance on an artistic expression forum such as this.
Well I for one did not want to hijack athread on a nice logo which is what I said. My point was just a personal comment on what the logo was conveying to me (not a just a gay thing.. theres more to this logo than just gay). How come something like this be posted for all to see and "speak" visually, but I'm not alllowed to make a simple own opinion comment, Now that sounds pretty onesided. Anyhow again pretty creative Idea.
I think the design is an excellent treatment of the numeral elements - but would also be concerned about the word club disappearing in smaller applications. Your design did get me to take a second look - and smile at what it represents in a fairly elegant manner.
This caught my eye enough to comment on it. Nice work.

wow. beauty. the numbers "complete" each other, bringing stability (or legibility) to the mark... yet their incompleteness reminds me that there's still something "left to the imagination." just the way i read it :)

the size does look off.
and i wouldn't take the job either. i don't see the problem with having personal standards in regards to that... not only for yourself, but also for those who'd consider your work for future designs.
now you can all call me a little kid like you did everyone else in opposition to your own view.

And I too do not like what it stands for. I never would have agreed to do the project.

Logomotive you made yourself look pretty lame with that comment. Your personal beliefs have nothing to do with how good this logo is.
