This is really sweet Sean :)

thanks siah, that was really quick

logomotive said on Feb. 03 '09

I like the idea! aesthetically questionable. work on the curves and spacing a little.

logocafe said on Feb. 03 '09

nicely done! I think I agree with logomotive on the curves and spacing... it could be just a tiny bit more dynamic in the curves but it already looks stunning. :-)

OcularInk said on Feb. 03 '09

Great idea and look. I agree with Mike. Some more work on the curves will really bring this to fruition. Keep em' coming, Sean!

smartinup said on Feb. 03 '09

yeah, i really like the over all shape and flow, but as mentioned the negative spacing with some tweaks. fire it up-

lundeja said on Feb. 03 '09

Great start, as stated above curves are just a little bit messy. I'd maybe define the beak a little more, too.

A wee bit close to Raja's Firefish concept for me mate.

logoholik said on Feb. 03 '09

I just wanted to say that.

penflare said on Feb. 03 '09

hmm, it may be similar in aesthetics, but not in concept. his is overlapping transparencies using wavy lines creating a fish..

same colors.. but with a name like fire, comes fire colors. If he has a problem with it, i'll change it in respect that he is a great designer and I don't want any dispute.

erikatipsum said on Feb. 03 '09

This is great. I honestly disagree with the comparison to Firefish. It's absolutely true that the marks share a thought process but I think the aesthetics set it apart. Raja gave Firefish a very clean, staid look, whereas this one has a great rich feeling to it. Beautiful work man.

harrier said on Feb. 03 '09

It reads as streamers, not fire. Red and yellow streamers, but beautiful paper or fabric, not flames.

ice-horse said on Feb. 03 '09

sweet!

smartinup said on Feb. 03 '09

in all fairness, now that the comparison was made, it does feel a lot like that mark, just off now thnking about the firefish mark without looking at it.

Nice, colors are very inviting.

penflare said on Feb. 04 '09

thanks all

KabuqueJoe said on Feb. 05 '09

look, its beautiful, but if there were no text do you think people would clearly understand it's a bird at the first look?

And i don't know why i don't like that font!

Its beautifull logo anyway... voted up!

penflare said on Feb. 05 '09

yeah, i think its clear enough to be recognized as a bird.. sorry that you dont like the font, just thought it fits

KabuqueJoe said on Feb. 06 '09

It does fit the logo, just don't know why it bugs me!!!

hindmarshdesign said on Feb. 17 '09

Its nice, but I still immediately think of Raja's Firefish...without even going back to look at it.
However: http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/4560
hmm. still close. but i appreciate the differences you've pointed out.

andreiu said on Apr. 01 '09

the type really goes with the mark! :)

fishy said on May. 30 '09

i think the concept is fully here but i do think the bird needs a little more life.
i think the font is great. what font is it?

Raczso said on May. 31 '09
