it was difficult to strike the right balance in making the letterforms create an image that was friendly-religious rather than stark/imposing-religious (ie, a simple cross form without implying the suffering/morbid aspects of a crucifixion.)
was also questioning the italicized type for a while, but i think it works....?
I can't help it, but every logo with a big U and something stuck in it will always mean the same thing to me and it is the opposite of what you are trying to convey here.

@ theartistt: i totally hear what you're saying, and that's why i tried to keep the "arms" from looking too short and, for lack of a better term...ballsy.
