This is the most unique. Not as a design itself but as an ID for a designer. It really has to come down to your personality and how you want to convey that to your audience. For instance, I probably like my Logophile name and design better than my LoGoBoom. But it was an intentional decision to go with the friendlier LoGoBoom to create a more casual first impression in any potential audience that would also allude to my working style.

I'm more drawn to this one, the type and the color work well IMO. Nice job penflare! :)
This one gets my vote too Sean but l agree with Glen that ultimately the design needs to convey your personality. Good luck!

I agree with LogoBoom. It really boils down to your personality or the type of clients you seek. As for this mark, have you thought of turning the "f" or "l" into a quill (sp?) type pen? Ya know, with a feathered end? I think that'd work well with this style.
very, very nice! my only comment is, and probably due to my pickiness, is the 'r'. the other smaller case letters, the 'e', 'n', 'a', the 'e' all seem to have slight rise from left to right while the 'r' has a fall left to right. was this intentional for some specific reason? great work nonetheless.
I agree with David A. In addition, to be nit-picky, the 'f' seems slightly heavier in weight than the rest of the letters. My eye is getting stuck there. This is the one though!
it's so nice that I could use it for a tatoo on my arm :)

One suggestion is to alter the shape of the second 'e', so it's not identical to the first. This will add a more personal / less typefacey feel.
Something subtle, like bringing the tail-end down a little further?
(Yes, typefacey is a custom word.)

@kevin, - yes i changed the weight of the "f" - i must have missed that when deleting some of the outlines.
@terry, maybe, im not sure about color yet, although i have been using this one quite a bit.. you know what they say blue is going to be big in 2009
@nassimh, naw not to young, customizing a typeface is always in style.
- everyone else, thanks for the compliments, the new V3 has been uploaded.
