Thanks guys, Bart is right, the logo is done all in vector. I figured it an an exception to the old "solid and simple" rule because of the name "ego" thought it more appropriate.This is the same method used on my Coins and Collectibles logo.

I like the concept. The crown is the final destination of the egoic mind. Nice. Also the execution is superb. And the effects are nice.

I'm not so sure about the title text. I think that the mark would look much better without it.

Thanks Kugelis, It's an important part of the name (logo), I agree it would look better but it needs to be a part of. We can't just eliminate words to make it look better :)

maybe you can try sans serif typeface, all upper cases, so there would be a better contrast and the type doesn't mix with the mark

@Kugelis, 1.Look at the g in ego, one of my reasons for not going uppercase. It's balanced between the ascenders of l and b.
2. The type separates yet compliments the mark by subtle serifs to tie in the peaks of the crown.
I guess to each their own but my eye said it was ok. It's too late for changes now.

I understand this balance now, and slightly felt it before. Good arguments.
