I think I'd prefer it more if each feather was a bit more unique instead of just being a copy, I also wonder how it would look without the thin horizon line. Nice tho.

Making difference between feathers would make a difference between the companies that are merging... This group is also very environmentally friendly (very IN these days) and they wanted to point that out - that's why the line which helps to see the feathers as a forest (tried it, without the line they are really just feathers)... I appreciate the comment, thanks...

Ok, I don't necessarily agree that having slightly different feathers would make a difference between the companies that are merging, afterall they'd all still be feathers. What about reducing the size of the larger gap that each feather has and making it similar to all the other gaps cos at the moment that larger gap jumps out more than the others and adds to the fact that their all copies. I agree about the line, I tried to visualise it without it and it didn't look as good.

As I said, the point was to keep the feathers the same... Bigger 'gap' on the right side just gives them more natural look...

Rightio, good luck with it.

Muchos gracias ;))

The companies that are merging ARE different. Big mistake on their part forcing you to make the feathers exactly the same. Makes it feel like clip art.

Type08 said on Aug. 27 '08

It's all artificial at the end - companies are different, that's pretty much clear, but when it comes to stakes and collaboration they wanted to represent themselves as equals, which is very correct, in some way... Anyway, client is satisfied with this one and we all have to agree that that's sometimes (unfortunately) more important then our opinion...

Thanks Nima!

There's four! you should make one cyan, one magenta one yellow and one black...

Before i get flamed... that's a total JOKE, like that hasn't been done to death (and badly too...).

I think the colours are great, really get that environmentally friendly feel without using green.

Nice one.

I agree, that CMYK scale is really drained... But again, there's always a way to make it nice, like that 'Castle Print' logo...
Thanks!

Thanks MS! By the way, I've seen your Heyling logo and I like it a lot, so I'm wondering what do you think about my 'horse' I've posted today... Just curious... Thanks!
