Nice work logomotive, love the type. I think the face could be improved ever so slightly by sharpening the angles of the mouth/nose area. He look a little too round and almost comical << reminds me of Scratchy from The Simpsons.

I think if it ever went live you would be getting your client pretty close to bobcat:

What is the font? I love that typography? Please Post Font. Also I agree, very close to Bobcat, Being a North Dakota Native, Bobcat is a very important company and they are proud of the cat logo. Lol funny thing I just sent a project out the door for Bobcat...
