Nice look. Why the missing outline around the portion of the S bart?

It crowded the R, however visually it is not needed as it reads as an S with the curves in the letterform shape. Plus it adds character to the custom type I designed.

I see what you mean...but I just can't quite get past that. Love the letterforms though.
