I've been waiting for this to get into the gallery!!
What I like most is the just at the end, the strokes connect forming an ellipse (caps of the fingerprint too), which implies that the wave is starting to break...but since our surfer hero is at the other end of the tube, he should have just enough momentum to ride the foam back to shore...point A to point B, like finding what you're looking for in a directory.
Stock response from 99design whenever you report an infringement:
Hi,
Thanks for your email.
I have taken a closer look at this report, but have found that there is not enough evidence to allow us taking further action. We can see that the design in question is a similar concept as the link you provided, but closer inspection of the two show clear differences.
If there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
So basically this implies that 99dezigners are free to steal your work!
How fucked up that is. And how lame does that testimonial sound: "I love my new logo that I bought from the Logo Store, the designer was very accommodating [...]" it sounds like logos are apples or something.
99designs is BY FAR the most arrogant of all the crowdsourcing sites. And the most likely to deny they have plagiarists on their books. They know that the honest hardworking designers can't afford to take legal action. C*nts
I mean, to their credit, the logo you cited doesn't really look like yours. It happens to have a fingerprint, which has been used repeatedly for years, kinda like the lightbulb. But you're right and i've seen plenty of blatant ripoffs through them.
That all being said, you have one of the best fingerprint logos that I've seen!
Well no but clearly elements have been lifted. My point is that even if entire logos have been stolen they still deny their deziners are over-inspired.

i had an issue with 99 designs as well. same response. same hatred towards them.
I'd agree with that. I'm definitely not trying to defend 99designs by any means as I think they are a total degradation to our field. However a fingerprint logo is not the one to get mad over. Yes the way the print has been rendered is done almost the same, but it is very possible that it wasn't stolen from you. The only reason I comment on this is because literally only a month ago or so we were working on a logo here that involved a fingerprint and several of the initial sketches were stylized in basically the same exact way, without having done any research on other logos with fingerprints. Please don't think I'm knocking your design, because as I said, it's done really well and has a nice concept. I just feel as though it's like getting mad at somebody because their car has 4 wheels on it too.
