This is a nice concept. I'm wondering if it would be more effective by removing the bottom right serif on the left side of the A in the mark? For me, that one serif catches my eye too often. Even so, it's a great logo.
I like the idea but a couple of things are bothering me... it strikes me as backwards. The heavy stroke of an A is always on the right side, not the left. The serif at the bottom of the left side tells me you're going for an actual A, so I'd flip it. Also, I think the serif on the narrow leg should match the serif on the broad leg in some way. The angled inner serif seems out of balance to me. Otherwise, I like the layered papers making the inside of the letter.
I really like the concept, very simple but works well visually. The serif on the inside edge of the A was the first thing I noticed as well, it breaks up the "stack" of paper and loses the effect a bit. Great concept, I think it'll be a beautiful mark with a few minor adjustments.
