Very nice mark Lalo! However I would go for a sans serif font for this. But great use of gradients there and probably a tad lighter for the BG color. Cheers.

tks a lot guys!! i don't know exactly why i use this serifa, when i was making the mark this type came up to my mind :P
Anyway i'm going to try with a sans serif font, thanks!

I think your biggest concern regardless of sans or serif will be the ascender on the "b" and the dot on the "i" throwing off your center. Might need all caps.

i didnt see the previous version but this sans serif font compliments this mark very well. modern, playful and recognizable without the text?

I didn't see the original either but this one looks great. A couple small things...
1: The background color isn't helping at all. It should probably be light, just so the logo really shines.
2: The icon might be a little too big
