I like it. It really has the "Walk the Line" sensibility. With your permission, a few comments:
- Find a better slab serif font, this one has bad balance of thicks and thins, and preferably find one with an extended version, so the "indie" line can use it to eliminate some of that white space. (The Western blockletter/handbill style you're going for should feel compact like the bottom 2 lines).
- The fading horizontal line looks slighty off center to the type.
- Maybe the gradiating feeling should be continued somehow into the rings? Something subtle, like the way radar rings leave a fading ghost, maybe... just a thought.
