wonder if people will call this more of an illustration than a logo. from the conversation we had in that other thread it could easily go either way, this is a very good example of that 'line between'

@ClimaxDesigns, probably so. I might normally be "one of those" that would call this an illustration, but considering the context and subject matter of the website this design is for, having an illustrative logo fits very well. Does that make sense?

Since when does something being illustrative mean that it can't also be a logo? This is a logo.

the whole illustration vs logo debate weighs more on how he uses it than how it looks. Yes it's illustrative, but there are many other logos that are illustrative as well. If it appears only on the site, than it would seem he just took the illustrative pieces that were touching the typography and called it a logo, but if he uses this on business cards, stationary, email newsletters or anything else than it can be without a doubt called a logo.

@ chazthetic yeah i agree with you, but even having said that, this 'logo' as it appears here is not the even the usage on the site :D I have never seen this usage before, unless like you said it's its print usage.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the feedbacks and discussions.

This is actually my logo. It will be used on large format display (both web and print media, ie. posters, ads, etc.). I also have a smaller version with just the type "Web Designer Wall".
