Personally, I think this logo is far better than the John Deere logo. I'm going to guess that John Deere isn't the only logo that uses a silhouette of a buck. However, the fact that the question even arose is indicative of how well branded John Deere is that any image of a buck brings their logo to mind. That's pretty brilliant even if this logo doesn't look like theirs (which it does not, IMHO).

Thanks Lewis, long time no Hi C. Been a few years since you have been in this neck of the woods.
FWIW this design started out as a logo Rebrand for Remington Firearms, the marketing director came back to me after the heads at Remington decide to stay with old traditional R and we developed this.
