Excellent work! I think this mark is stronger than the other version. I see clearly books. Also, the negative space created is nicer than on your second version. I love the colours scheme you used to, very elegant. Altough, I prefer position and proportion of your second one.

What up, Roy?! Hope you're having a good week. I agree with Thomas. This mark is much stronger, however, I also prefer the other layout and proportion between mark and type on the other version. Great colors too!

@ dOc: Have you got a sixth sense? I'm a bit rattled at the moment as I've just taken the leap from the comfort zone into freelance uncertainty. Thanks for your feedback.. good idea, I'll post a third version and maybe one of the throw-outs. :)

This is a very strong mark in color, but I think it needs to change for 1-color work. Perhaps an alternate version could have the lighter pages become outlines.

You always have to ask "how will this look look when faxed or photocopied?"

@ cresquin: The outline's not a bad idea. It also works quite well in solid black with no tints at all. :)

Beautiful. Dare I say that a one-color version could use gray tints without too many repercussions to retain the aesthetic integrity. Besides, do people actually use a fax machine any more?
