Can't you drop the "the"? I also think it works without the drop shadows. Something's bothering me about the strokes on the pushpin too. Seems like they should be consistent. very nice though. A great start.

Thanks KGB it does need a lot of work but thanks for the great suggestions and I can get rid of the word "the"
