When in black and white does the checker board stay?

In grayscale form yes, in true black and white, no. Actually there are 2 alternate versions of this in black and white for them to choose to use. However this will seldom happen as everything that United does is in full color.

I love this type of type/enclosure brand. They are to me one of the most difficult kinds of logos to make and you aced this one.

Great logo. I think it would be cleaner without the extension off of the right side of the "s" though. I realize it's part of the script font you've chosen, but I don't think it's necessary to include.
