It's primarily a creative writing exercise, but also a fun way to absorb some new (mostly useless) knowledge and facts about completely arbitrary topics.
And it's simple.
I click the "Random Article" button on Wikipedia, go wherever it takes me, and dive headfirst into the information wormhole.
Then I quickly sum up what I learned.
These used to be longer (150 words or fewer) but now it's just a couple sentences. I got things to do, man.
