I feel like the chef hat is really a stretch to find here. Remember, minimalism is effective in many cases, but sometimes less is not more. You have to able to identify the form and concept quickly and easily for minimalism to be truly effective. I would thicken up your lock 'bar' a touch, and hey, that white space in the space between lock and bar looks tempting - perhaps a domed platter?
